Written submission for thematic report by special rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association on to be presented at the 53rd session of the human rights council by the international network of civil liberties organisations (INCLO)

This written contribution is submitted to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association (“UNSR”) by the International Network of Civil Liberties Organizations (“INCLO”) in response to the call for inputs for the thematic report by the UNSR to be presented at the 53rd session of the Human Rights Council.  The report will focus on the challenges and good practices to ensure accountability for serious human rights violations of the right to peaceful assembly by law enforcement using crowd-control weapons (CCWs.) This written contribution includes input by 11 INCLO member organisations and is endorsed by 12 INCLO member organisations. It relies on in-text hyperlinks for ease of reference.
